The headline numbers come from the same model the students' pages
use, at the moment you open this. If the course is tuned, the slides
move with it, so you cannot end up presenting a figure the course no
longer believes.
Show my notes puts the speaker note under the slide on screen, which you want on a laptop and not on a projector. Printing gives every slide with its note, one to a page, which is the version to carry.
